Some creatures just die. I walled them in and after some time they die. Some doesn´t.
    It seems quite random.
    .
So my question is: HOW do they die? Do they kill each other?

Vaughn, you meantioned that at some point creatures (should??) vanish…
But this can´t be the reason here, because they leave corpses and resources.

It is indeed random. The game will cull creatures randomly that are out of sight. This is not the best system currently, but it’s just to try to keep the monster numbers at a decent level throughout your playthrough.

They don’t die, they are just “gone”.

Eventually, once in-fighting is in, we probably will remove this system and just lock/cap the monster limit. Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Hmm… it´s strange. Because… as I said above… they do leave their materials.

In another game I have a chickenfarm. Already 9 chicken are populating in a small area. Is there any trigger for chickens to populate somehow?

Sorry, I forgot in 1.9.2 there is a very rare chance for monsters to naturally die as well. This would explain what you have seen.

I saw some creatures IN my “castle”. It´s a mountain with doors and moats all around it.
A simple rat CAN´t enter it under normal circumstances.
    .
It happens since I have some piles of meat and rotten meat in the middle of my castle. Bears and rats only, it seems.
I guess it has to be the reason for it. Can you verify that?

    Greetings,
