I think pretty much all of your points are currently on the to-do list besides the Fire Elemental stuff. Noted.
There’s no way to remove an item from the game other than putting it in a fire.
Wayward is a Permadeath game. The only thing that should be saved in your memories of past crafts. The skills coming over is in fact a bug. Maps are procedurally generated every spawn.

Vaughn “Drathy” RoykoKeymasterThe data structure is quite volatile at the moment. Constantly changing and evolving to the point where I unfortunately need to wipe saves between each version right now.
It’s also quite a headache to compile each time we do some updates to the code to an offline version. Perhaps one day, but not now haha.

If you donate, it will give me incentive to keep going on Wayward. Which means it will indirectly make development faster on Wayward, which also means, indirectly, it will help me “finish” development on Wayward, which also means, perhaps starting on a multiplayer version 🙂

There’s no de-spawning. Something that definitely needs to be in the game on longer play throughs. Things that you haven’t seen or interacted with should have a de-spawn chance.
There’s no in-fighting/killing. Bears should eat rabbits. Imps should kill wolfs, etc.
There’s no trapping in the game yet. Setting traps around your base while you are out will help protect your base-area.
Vaughn “Drathy” RoykoKeymaster@CreatureAndrew If I was to make Wayward multiplayer, the entire engine/tech would need to be redone, nothing could really be used besides the main art assets and the like. But yes, If I was to do that, I would definitely use the same concept/feel behind Wayward. Who wants to help start? haha.
The source code is included in the download, but it’s kind of hard to get at. I’ll look at addressing this in upcoming versions.

Just letting you know, I’m definitely not ignoring this, I just replied to the reddit thread instead, haha.
As with any of these “giant” lists, I try to piece things out and improve them as needed for each release – thanks for submitting.
Vaughn “Drathy” RoykoKeymasterI’d love to make a co-op/multiplayer game. I sadly don’t see that with Wayward.
That being said, I can’t definitely rule it out, maybe there truly will be a multiplayer version, that probably wouldn’t be turn based?
Also, with that being said, I do plan to add some online features to the game at some point. Such as saving and sharing your world, a mod repository, achievements, leaderboards, online profile and more.
